What is the definition of cheating?

The traditional definition of cheating, or infidelity, is that one person in a committed relationship is physically involved with someone other than their spouse. Due to a number of factors, cheating behavior has been reclassified to include the traditional definition and a more contemporary definition, known as emotional infidelity. Emotional infidelity is defined as any infidelity that occurs through feeling or thought.

The primary difference between traditional cheating and emotional infidelity is actual, physical contact. Traditionally, cheating involves people meeting face to face, and then engaging in physical intimacy. With emotional infidelity, there may be a meeting, but it can occur on a cell phone or a computer. There may be physical activity involved, but it is conducted within the confines of separate locations; the people involved aren’t “actually” touching. Many of the people who are emotionally cheating don’t consider it to be infidelity. Their rationale is that, because there is no actual physical contact, the behavior can’t be considered cheating. Emotional infidelity is sometimes viewed as being harmless because it is more of a casual relationship than traditional cheating; however, the intimate nature of the communication, plus the emotional investment made by the people involved, places emotional infidelity on the same level as traditional cheating.

Lies break trust, and don’t think that just because you only tell part of the truth that this means you are not lying. Telling someone what they want to hear - or what you want them to hear, however founded in the truth, if it is not the complete truth, it is still a lie.

Cheating breaks trust. Cheating is the ultimate trust breaker - one it is difficult if not impossible to come back from, because not only was there a lie, but there was a total and complete abuse of faith and trust placed in a person.

Cheating usually comes with lies too - so not only does one cheat, but one lies about the cheating to cover up the indiscretion. Then the lies get bigger and the trust gets more abused - and this snowball effect comes into play - and it’s nearly impossible - if at all, to recover from cheating. No trust. No faith.

No chance to “allow without fear.”

If they have cheated - do you want to know? Is ignorance truly bliss this time? Can you ever look at the past the same if you realize that there was a break of trust there…will the memories ever be the same again? Would you want them to be the same?

When it comes right down to it - it’s not the cheating that hurts. It is the break of trust, the loss of faith, the changing of perspectives that destroys the heart and brings the anger. It is the realignment of perceptions that really stings the most, when you go back over everything that happened and wonder what was real and what was illusion. That’s what hurts.

There is nothing you did so wrong that warrants someone cheating on you. If the relationship is bad, if you did do something wrong, then the other person has the right to talk to you, to confront you, or if worse comes to worst, to leave you…but he or she doesn’t have the right to cheat.

Cheating is the cheater’s mistake - not yours. You did nothing wrong that deserve you having been cheated on. Even if you made mistakes in the relationship, even if you withheld intimacy, even if you and your partner fought constantly, there is nothing that justifies cheating - period.

Nothing.

And so we are back to the beginning all over again, back to the reason I am even writing this: Cheating?! Trust?! What is trust? To have confidence or faith in or to allow without fear.

The other party can leave, break it off, ask for a divorce, or do any number of other things in response to a relationship gone bad, but cheating is never an acceptable solution. So as the saying goes either “Piss or get off the pot” it is never a good thing to start a relationship, regardless of how it starts, if there you have trust issues. First, deal with the issues that you have or at least express them so that everyone can know what is going on. Define what you think “cheating” is to you, we all have different definitions, and we are all not going to put up with what the next man/woman might. Most importantly be expressive and honest with whatever is going on with you and whatever you have been through, it is the only way to be fair!

Can We Handle the Truth?

I was watching a great movie "A Few Good Men" and in that movie Jack Nicholson says, "Because you cannot handle the truth. . ."

After watching this movie I noticed that a friend of mine had a few questions about the truth and I responded by stating the line from the movie. . . this was her response:

"your status is interesting and right on point with mine at the moment. i feel you overall but to take your quote/thought to the next level, who do you think the truth hurts more the person who feels the need to lie, or the people surrounding the liar? sometimes i think the truth may sting for a moment for those surrounding people, but the biggest battle is within the liar because reality was too much to handle to begin with. just my thought anyway. . ."

and my response back to her:

"yeah the biggest battle is within the liar but 9 times out 10 they have been lying for so long that they do not know what reality is and that is what hurts the most. there are some people that are in this world and there whole life is a lie but we don't know it. i would rather know the truth but then again can i handle it? i have asked myself this over and over and i know that it depends on the current situation and of course who is delivering the honesty! either way it is going to hurt and sting like a bee bite but then maybe i can base the rest of my life on the truth and not the lies that you have so blatantly made me believe. . .
just my thoughts. . . good response thanks!
"

So I thought that our discussion opened up a few questions in my mind - so I would pose the questions for open discussion, what do you think?

Can we handle the truth or can we not handle the truth

Thankful!

Recently, I have realized that through all the bad at the end of the day there is a bright shining sun that sits over me and follows me wherever I go!!!!

I don't know why we have to reach the bottom sometimes to see that we have so much more work to do and there is no time for a personal pity party, we just need to buckle up our boot straps and get to work!!!! All the bad is to help us realize that we have more work to do: more work to do on ourselves!!!! We cannot blame others for our own insecurities and our issues! That person that stares you in the eye when you look in the mirror is the only one that can help you, help you!!!! You can pray for wisdom, strength, guidance, faith etc. but you still have to do the work!!! So start now!!!

As I sit in a place that I have dreamed that I would be all my life, I realize that all that blood, sweat and tears has brought me to this important part of my life I am THANKFUL that I have endured the bad to get to the good!!!! I am THANKFUL to you, for making me better, standing by my side, holding my hand and encouraging me to go on... As I sit and look outside at the rain steadily falling I realize that that rain is nurturing the plants and the animals, it is washing away the bad and soon the sun will shine on....

I'm THANKFUL because though rain drops are falling the bright sun sits over me and follows me wherever I go!!!Read More!

"A Milli Hot or Not BEFORE Wayne?"

"A Milli" produced by Bangladesh (check out his Myspace page); I remember the first time that I heard the song (and it wasn't on the radio) and I wondered when it was going to end, the repetition was nerve racking and I wondered, "Is this the way the song is really going to sound?" Fortunately for the masses my opinion doesn't matter much because everyone loves the song (and I must admit it grew on me). But I'm wondering do they love the song because of Wayne and his undeniable swag, the lyrics he spits on the track, or is it because of the beat?

Cause I'm trying to understand if anyone realizes that the beat is not hot??? The song is hot because Wayne is on it (imagine that), the beat retains some of that energy, but without Wayne, the beat would not be all that everyone is making it out to be!

You know how beats sometimes sit around and wait for the right owner well this is one of those beats and thank goodness it did because before Wayne, when it was on Bangladesh's group, everybody hated it!! So its amazing that its getting all of this hype now. . .

The music industry its hilarious some of the same artists who despise the new trend of ultra-simplicity in southern production and who who hated on snap music are embracing what might be the simplest beat ever released (and I'm not saying that simple is bad, I'm just trying to make a point).

He has been noted for having produced and maybe even brought back Kelis with "Bossy," has worked with Ludacris on "What's Yo Fantasy?" Petey Pablo's "Vibrate," and also 8Ball and MJG "Don't Make Me." And lets not forget his other 2008 joint "Talking Out The Side of Your Neck" by Dem Franchize Boyz (possibly the biggest flop of the summer). Which I wonder if we had heard Wayne on that beat first would it have been the smash that a milli is?

Here is a brief excerpt from Bangladesh explaining the track which by the way he never even sat down with Wayne to do, Shanell (singer and current member of "The Girls Club") slipped the track to Wayne.
"He switched it up and tried to make it “ill.” If that was somebody else, it wouldn’t be on the radio. They just f*ck with Wayne regardless. That right there makes me like that sh*t, because it’s against the grain and it’s working. That sh*t’s no format. A n*gg* went in, free styled, and that sh*t’s all over the radio. And it’s the hottest beat in hip-hop right now. Every time I turn on Rap City, they in the booth rapping to the beat," Bangladesh. The Rhapsody: Behind The Carter III

So the question behind the post is. . . What do you think? I'm truly interested; do you like the beat or do you only bob your head to the track cause of Wayne?

Venting Because I Can!

So I as I was browsing through the many sites that I normally check out I came across a site with a article entitled "What's The Big Deal?" with a picture of Lil Wayne intrigued me so I read on.

Okay to answer the title the BIG deal is nobody has sold a million albums since 50 Cent in 2005! "The Massacre" sold 1.14 million copies in its first four days of release, making it the sixth fastest-selling album since SoundScan began tracking sales data in 1991.
The next point I must address is regardless of if you like Lil Wayne or not you still have to give him his props, in two years nobody was able to do what 50 Cent accomplished in 05. Even if the record label did buy 300,000 copies and stored them in a shed or gave them away nobody else's record label backed them the way that Wayne's label did so don't hate! Let's compare Wayne's platinum album in a week to other album sales for the first week that released this year Mariah Carey sold 463,000, Usher sold 433,000 and Danity Kane sold 236,000; I'm sure they would of loved their label to buy 300,000 c.d's and throw them overboard if need be.

So to answer your question "What's The Big Deal?" the BIG deal is it hasn't been done in 2 years! I never understand why the need to bring people down, let's congratulate him and everyone that helped to make the c.d and be happy for them!
