~Lost Without You~

When my father passed the funeral home told us about a website www.mem.com, where he would have a listing, friends and family could go and share there memories etc. It took me a little while but I finally wrote something. . .

As I sit here at 1:26am, I'm missing him dearly!

Tribute by Your Pride and Joi (May 2004)

I never knew what to say or even if I should say something but I have finally built up the courage to say a little bit.
I just want to say thank you for all the love you that you gave me, for the friendship and the mentorship. You have always been my shoulder to lean on and an ear to listen.

For my birthday I got a puppy, and I named him Alphonso. Then come to find out after that he was born on the same day that you went to the hospital. I loved him before but I now have a deeper bond with him because I know your spirit lives in him. As God took you from us he placed your spirit in him.

I can only say thanks for all the good times and for the memories. The Smith's are here to help Don move into the condo that he purchased so we got together today. We laughed, laughed and laughed some more at the good times that we all have had with you. Things aren't the same though, Friday night poker night barely exists anymore and Don still has not gotten on the boat. It stormed here and as we were all talking about you the electricity went out but only in the room we were in; So we know your around. We all miss you and at times like this I guess this will be an expression from me to you. There are so many things to say that I always find myself at a loss of words when it comes to this. The good part is you know my heart better than anyone, and now you do not have to worry so much because you can see me too.

Missing you and loving you always!
