Eddie Murphy has agreed to pay out $51,000 a month in child support to his former girlfriend Melanie Brown and their child together:
British tabloid the News of the World has revealed that Dr. Doolittle star Murphy has agreed to a support package totaling more than $10 million, following a 15 month court battle in Los Angeles.
Murphy sparked a war of words with Brown following their break-up when he suggested it was possible he wasn’t the father of the baby. He subsequently took a DNA test which determined daughter Angel Iris - born on Murphy’s birthday, April 3rd 2007 - was in fact his.

@ Corporate- I don't think that they were ever together like that for him to kept her.... I think it was a lil fling because right after we see him prancing around with Babyface's ex remember?
And they were suppose to get married but that fell through....
@ Milly- I know that he has $$$$$$$ but I mean damn that's a lot of money a month, what kind of lifestyle does he have to live?
Save some for later, put some away for him in a trust, away for school but to give that much away now and he is so young that doesn't make sense regardless of how much this man makes!??! I can see giving him some money a month but damn $40k a month should be put away til he is grown
I do agree..sometimes it feels like the child support doesnt always go to the child, which is a little messed up

@ Milly- yeah i know it's touchy but i think that it has to be addressed at some point or another or the cycle continues :-(
the lil girl is adorable... and if that really is her father she does deserve the $$$ unless he lets her husband adopt her legally or something... and yes--there definitely should be a trust account set up and everything... but eddie is making TRUE bank... think of all the beverly hills cop movies, and the doolittle movies, the clumps... eddies is so paid it don't make no sense... royalties out the ying yang i'm guessin
@ nikkiblanco- i'm not saying that she doesn't deserve the money i'm just saying that she doesn't need all that $$$$$$$$ a month right now....
